Bente Tas (b. 1999) is a Dutch photographer and emerging art historian whose work delves into deeply personal and autobiographical themes. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the University of Applied Photography in Amsterdam in 2021, Bente continued to broaden her academic pursuits, graduating with honors in Art History from the University of Amsterdam in 2024. Currently, she is pursuing a Research Master's in Curating Arts & Cultures - Arts of The Netherlands at the same institution.
Bente’s long-term projects are driven by a curiosity for the intimate aspects of life, exploring themes like family, personal narratives, and her connection to the world around her. Her artistic process is rooted in careful observation and thorough research, resulting in work that is both reflective and deeply resonant.
